SEO DEPARTMENT – JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1. SEO Manager

Team: Digital
Level: Manager (6+ years)
Type: Full-time Onsite

Job Objective:
Responsible for building and implementing the company’s overall SEO strategy to grow organic traffic, top-ranking keywords, and organic conversions. The SEO Manager oversees all aspects of SEO — including technical, on-page, off-page, and content optimization — and leads the SEO Executive team to ensure every website operates efficiently, sustainably, and in full compliance with Google’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SEO Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term SEO strategies for each brand, including keyword roadmaps, content clusters, linking strategies, and technical audits.
  • Conduct competitor, market, and search intent analyses to guide content direction.
  • Collaborate with Content and Digital teams to build content hubs/pillar–cluster systems that enhance user journeys.
  • Prepare quarterly/monthly SEO execution plans, assign manpower, and set project KPIs.

2. Execution & Optimization

  • Supervise on-page optimization (keyword mapping, title, meta, heading, schema, internal linking, UX).
  • Propose and review technical SEO improvements: crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and site performance.
  • Manage off-page activities: link-building, outreach, PR SEO, brand mentions, and backlink profile quality.
  • Coordinate with the Dev/Web team to resolve technical SEO issues (404, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps, robots.txt).
  • Track and evaluate campaign performance metrics — traffic, impressions, ranking, and conversions.

3. Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze data using Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio.
  • Identify ranking fluctuations, CTR patterns, and user behavior changes; diagnose causes and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for the Marketing Director and clients (if applicable).
  • Forecast organic growth trends and propose ROI-improvement roadmaps.

4. Team Management & Development

  • Supervise and coach SEO Executives; guide both technical and content-oriented SEO practices.
  • Build and maintain standard SEO processes (SOPs): keyword research, on-page checklist, content briefs, periodic audits.
  • Evaluate team performance, review KPIs, and foster continuous learning through algorithm updates and SEO innovations.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or related fields.
  • SEO or Google Analytics (GA4) certification is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years in SEO, including 3+ years in a managerial or team-lead role.
  • Proven success in developing and executing SEO strategies for websites exceeding 100k monthly organic visits.
  • Experience handling large-scale SEO projects (E-commerce, News, or Multi-brand platforms).
  • Deep understanding of Google algorithms, technical SEO, and advanced SEO hacking.

Skills:

  • Proficient in SEO tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and reporting skills using Looker Studio / Excel.
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI and their impact on conversion.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with Content, Dev, and Brand teams.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Up-to-date with the latest Google Core Updates and EEAT principles.

Key Attention Points:

  • Proven SEO case studies showing measurable organic growth or keyword ranking improvements.
  • Experience recovering websites affected by Google Core Updates.
  • Understanding of Topic Cluster, Semantic SEO, and Entity Optimization models.
  • Familiar with multiple CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, HubSpot, custom CMS).
  • Ability to translate search behavior data into actionable content insights.
  • Experience managing and training a 3–5 person SEO team across multiple projects.
  • Bonus: Experience integrating SEO with Performance Marketing (Full-Funnel strategy).

2. SEO Executive

Team: Digital
Level: Senior (3+ years)
Type: Full-time Onsite

Job Objective:
Execute, monitor, and optimize all SEO activities — on-page, technical, off-page, and content — following the overall strategy set by the SEO Manager. The SEO Executive plays a hands-on role in ensuring that SEO implementation is accurate, measurable, and delivers sustainable website performance and organic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. On-page SEO Optimization

  • Conduct keyword research, segmentation, and clustering based on campaign objectives and search intent.
  • Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, schemas, alt text, and URLs following SEO best practices.
  • Prepare SEO content briefs for Content teams and edit content aligned with EEAT standards (Experience – Expertise – Authority – Trust).
  • Track and improve CTR from SERP through snippet optimization, FAQ schema, and featured snippet targeting.

2. Technical SEO Maintenance

  • Identify and fix crawl/index errors (404, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps, robots.txt).
  • Monitor Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile usability; collaborate with developers to resolve technical issues.
  • Use Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Semrush for regular audits.
  • Report technical findings and propose fixes to the SEO Manager and development team.

3. Off-page SEO & Backlink Management

  • Analyze and monitor backlink profiles; disavow harmful links.
  • Support link-building, guest posting, social signals, and digital PR campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate link-tracking records and verify placements regularly.

4. Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor keyword rankings, traffic, CTR, and conversions weekly/monthly.
  • Consolidate performance data from GSC, GA4, and Ahrefs into Looker Studio dashboards.
  • Present insights and propose actions to enhance SEO performance.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, E-commerce, or IT.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of SEO experience covering on-page, off-page, and technical optimization.
  • Proven track record of managing websites achieving >10,000 organic sessions per month.
  • Experience writing or editing SEO-friendly content.
  • Preferably experienced with eCommerce or multi-category SEO projects.

Skills:

  • Skilled in SEO tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Keyword Tool, etc.
  • Knowledge of Entity SEO, Topic Clustering, and Internal Linking Strategies.
  • Strong analytical and Excel/Google Sheets skills; basic reporting with Looker Studio.
  • Logical writing and data-driven content optimization.
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver with solid teamwork abilities.

Key Attention Points:

  • Must provide real SEO case studies (keyword ranking, traffic growth, technical fixes).
  • Strong grasp of search intent, semantic search, and keyword clustering.
  • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, or other popular CMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with EEAT-compliant content and collaboration with content teams.
  • Understanding of Google Core Updates and the ability to troubleshoot ranking losses.
  • English proficiency for researching and optimizing international keywords is a plus.
